MOVIES THAT DON’T AGE - PART 3

ACE VENTURA: PET DETECTIVE (1994)

Ace Ventura: Pet Detective turned out to be an incredibly funny and hilarious film that makes you laugh to tears and remains one of the best American comedies of the 90s. The film looks easy and causes a bunch of positive emotions with a wave of laughter. We see the funny protagonist of this story, who has an exceptional job and is the only one in the world - he is the only detective looking for pets - pets of the owners. Time has no power over Ace Ventura. It's exciting and fun to watch. Humor never gets old. Kerry's character is not one-sided. He is a fool, trying to stuff himself into a box and supposedly talking in rolls.
Moreover, he has a tenacious and dodgy mind that can discourage the police. The reputation of a good comedian gave him a dozen film roles, many of his heroes were born, and the game's bright, desperately eccentric, buffoonish madder has already become widely known. He has already been recognized as America's best impersonator, but only 'Ace Ventura' brought him real recognition and launched the 'Jim Carrey era.'

MR. AND MRS. SMITH (2005)

A fantastic film by director Doug Liman, who gave us such films as 'Edge of Tomorrow,' 'Made in America,' and 'The Bourne Identity.' Years later - another high-quality work called 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith' was released with charismatic, handsome Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, establishing the beginning of the formation of a Hollywood couple. Director Doug Liman, with some suspicious ease, was able to realize on the screen an explosive mixture of a high-quality action movie, a good comedy, and a sharp parody of films about special agents. Dynamic chases, spectacular firefights, and powerful explosions... there is everything to please specialists in this genre. Pitt and Jolie are irresistible; there is a strong connection and chemistry between them both in the action scenes and the comedic moments and jokes that are mainly related to their marriage and in the romantic moments and minutes of light drama as well. The film itself watches in one breath providing us an unforgettable entertainment.

GODFATHER (1972)

The legendary film by Francis Ford Coppola tells the story of an Italian-American family, one of the largest mafia groups in New York. This film received the status of a 'masterpiece of world cinema,' having collected an enormous number of box office receipts and received all kinds of film awards while winning the incredible love of viewers worldwide and the recognition of professional critics and film critics. Of course, the cast of the tape was awarded a special mention. Marlon Brando, who played the role of the head of the Corleone family, phenomenally demonstrated his boundless creative skill. Thanks to this work, his career has found a 'second wind,' enabling him to forever earn the title of 'legend of world cinema.' Al Pacino is definitely one of them. In this film, he has taken over the professional baton from Marlon. Pacino acted as the youngest son of Don Corleone, who initially did not want to follow in the footsteps of his mafia family. Still, by the will of catastrophic circumstances, he is forced to take small steps to the criminal side, which can change his sound, pure mind beyond recognition.

MASK (1994)

The protagonist of this enchanting comedy is a breathtaking mixture of a merry fellow and a psychopath who has broken out of the cocoon of an absolute loser. The metamorphosis was so successful that it remains relevant many years after the film's release. What can happen to a person who lives in a miserable rented apartment and fails in every field? Sometimes it happens that a mysterious artifact falls into the hands of such a person, which turns life inside out. The films with Jim Carrey are like a separate genre of cinema. Each film with his participation is bright and memorable. And the images Carrey created on the screen are engraved in memory for life - not outdated either from the script or the technical side.

RUSH HOUR (1998)

Cop comedies were popular in the 90s. The genre is popular now: "Bad Boys," "Macho and Nerd," and "Police Academy." However, Rush Hour is still the standard of this genre, when two police officers in a comedic form try to investigate various cases. The plot of this film tells us about how unknown people kidnapped the daughter of the Chinese ambassador to the United States. And the FBI undertakes to investigate this case, but the Chinese side is trying to give them their expert, whom the FBI turns into a kind of policeman, by the name of Carter. The entire film is built on the interaction between Carter and Lee. They are entirely different people with different approaches and visions. Still, they are united by their love for their work and the desire to find the ambassador's daughter. Also, when these guys are together, some jokes always begin. Then they dance together, deal with enemies, chase, and tie each other to cars. It can be seen that Tucker and Jackie Chan became friends on the stage to play a couple of policemen so believably. If we talk about another plus of the film, these are the action scenes and stunts. Fights are contact and dynamic, and Jackie Chan's tricks are always a pleasure to watch.
